You're out and about running your daily errands and while you're driving down the road, a nice little pebble decides to skip up from the ground and damage your windshield. Depending on the type and size of the damage, this may be repaired without the need to replace the complete windshield. In some cases, this repair could be performed at no cost to you.



Connect the manifold gauge set as discussed above. Connect the yellow hose to the can tap valve and windshield repair seat (turn clockwise) the valve. Close the blue gauge on the manifold gauge set. Open the valve on the can tap valve. Slowly open the valve on the blue or "low-side" gauge and let the refrigerant flow from the refrigerant can into the system until you see a reading of 60psi on the "low-side" gauge. TIP: Placing the refrigerant can in a pan of hot water will allow the vapor refrigerant to enter the A/C system quicker. WARNING: Do not invert the refrigerant can. Doing so will allow liquid refrigerant to enter the system resulting in a ruined compressor.

The disadvantages for these RVs come from driving the travel trailer. The larger travel trailers have quite a bit of sway and handling problems. These are the most difficult to steer, drive, and brake of all the RV types. Slow and cautious driving is recommended. Trailers of any type (fifth wheel or travel trailer) do not have the luxurious look of the motor coach.

The first lesson you must learn is critical to your success. Marketing done right does not cost you money, it makes you money. If you were to do a poll of windshield repair techs asking them how much they spend on their marketing, you'd find that most of them would laugh and say zero. They'd be proud of that. They'd brag how they wouldn't waste their money on marketing. They say word-of-mouth and knocking on doors is their marketing plan.

The next morning, we woke to a heavy, hot task of cleaning up the mess of limbs and leaves. We surveyed the damage. Fortunately, the heavy tree missed our carport by a foot. Sometimes the weather stripping or window channel is torn and falling apart. This can jam the window or prevent it from moving the way it should. Also look for objects that might be jammed into the window path. There may be too much friction between the glass and the channel. You can lubricate the channel with silicone spray.

Sometimes, the crack in the Auto Windshield glass is very long and unavoidable. In such cases, its better to replace the glass instead of repairing it. The reason is that in the long run it will be more harmful than the crack itself. It might break in the car itself when you are driving because of the stress.
